I’ll be the first to admit that I used to be a bit skeptical about Limited Run Games. It wasn’t until I started collecting physical copies of games instead of digital about a year ago (Steam aside obviously) that I understood what made these things special enough to justify the $10+ markup over the PS Store prices. Still, I put my first purchase off for about a year because I’m really not into limited edition games, having been burned a bit by chasing down Amiibo and NES Classic, etc. over the past many months.
Yes, that’s right, I’ve yet to play Double Fine’s Broken Age, despite owning it on both Steam and PS4 (digital). I’m not much of an adventure gamer but I think I’ve been read enough enthusiastic press on it that I’m finally ready to take the plunge – and what better way to do it than on the go?
As for Deemo, I love rhythm games. I’m currently playing the crap out of Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical and even pull out the Michael Jackson Experience (sort of an awkward way to put it, huh?) on my PSP from time to time.
Were they worth the price to be the only person on my block to own physical Vita copies? Well, considering that I’m the only person on my block with a Vita, hell, I’m probably the only person within 5 miles with one, time will tell. I’ll give Limited Run credit where due though, they send along some pretty cool stickers and postcards with their games – not $10 worth but nifty nonetheless.
Now I have my eye on DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours…
