Sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 top 24 million

Sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 top 24 million

Sales of Rockstar Games’ long-awaited blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2 have reached the 24 million mark, a significant milestone for any other title but perhaps a bit disappointing when you consider that it’s only about 1 million more units as was reported last quarter. Publisher Take Two reported the news during their fourth quarter fiscal earnings report last week.

Red Dead Online, the massively popular online multiplayer component of the game, officially left beta earlier this week and is reportedly performing even better than Rockstar’s juggernaut Grand Theft Auto V at the same point in its lifecycle.

Combined, both Red Dead Online and Grand Theft Auto Online are enjoying over 90 million players – another number that almost any other publisher would love to tout.
