Shenmue III delayed until late 2019

Originally set for release on August 27th, Shenmue III is reportedly being pushed back to November 19th, according to Ys Net and publisher Deep Silver.

Ys and Deep Silver issued a joint public statement on Kickstarter stating that the game is almost ready but it “needs some more refinement before being truly finished.” Many in the gaming community are less than enthused about this latest setback and are wondering if their investment in the project will ever come to fruition.

Even though it’s only been pushed back 3 more months, we’re still hopeful it’ll have been worth the wait. After all, it’s been 17 years since Shenmue II (or 18 years if you played it on Dreamcast). What’s another few months?

What do you think?
